TUKE caters for a wide range of educational needs not only in the East‑Slovak region, but throughout Slovakia and Central Europe, as in many specializations it is the only centre of education and research in this area. TUKE closely co‑operates with other universities and with industrial organizations throughout the region and the Slovak Republic.
In recent years there has been considerable increase in demand from foreign students to study, whereby TUKE has been established on international scale as a distinguished education institution. Students from forty countries attend the university.

Reykjavík University (RU) is the largest private university in Iceland with approximately 3,300 students The university consists of seven academic departments. The university is bilingual (English and Icelandic); all studies and teaching at the MSc and PhD levels are in English. The Department of Computer Science’s main research areas are AI, databases, natural language processing, user interfaces and theoretical computer science. Studies in undergraduate and master's programs at the Department have been awarded the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE).
